Update + Encouragement

I wanted to touch base with all of you to give an update. The first week of services went well. It was so uplifting to meet with God's people. We will continue to meet, and as you determine your return, it will be great to have you back. We have rescheduled VBS for the end of July, the special music will be starting, and other things are staring to fall into place. It has been quite a start to 2020. First the coronavirus impacts the whole planet, and now the protests and riots are impacting the U.S. There is so much going on that it is hard to see that there is  anyone is in control. There are devastating acts all around us and they  can take our breath away. I just wanted to encourage all of you that God is in control, even when our planet is spinning out of control. Proverbs 16;9 states, "A man's heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps." There are many people that have plans that they want to unfold. God will only permit it to go as far as He sees fit. We can rest in that. It is Him that we turn to at all times, but especially in times like these. Psalm 46:1 states, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." There is trouble all around us but his promise is that we can always run to Him and Hide under His wings. God will see this through, and His plan will unfold.Stay in His word, talk to Him in Prayer, and rely on Him for patience. we have the wonderful gift of the spirit to show us the way. What a blessed people we are.  Take care and see you soon, Pastor Joe
